101: Are Christians being persecuted? Was America founded as a Christian nation?

A recent article by Atlanta Faith and Family elicited the comment from a commenter who signs in as "The Thorn." He/she states that America was not established as a Christian nation in response to the article, "President Obama's Faiths - A Jack of All Faiths - Master of None?"
In spite of Thorn's comments, the overwhelming crowds seen at the Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin rally in Washington, D. C. yesterday indicates a huge tidal wave of Christians all across America have come to realize it is time to stand up, speak up, and make a difference to turn this country back to its Christian roots. http://www.examiner.com/faith-family-in-atlanta/president-obama-s-faiths-a-jack-of-all-faiths-master-of-none . . . .
