A number of pundits have praised this session of Congress as one of the most activist in U.S. history, and yet it’s fascinating to find how few members of Congress are running for reelection on this record of accomplishment.

But then consider:

-- Fifty-seven percent (57%) of Likely U.S. Voters favor repeal of the new health care law, including 46% who Strongly Favor it. Since Congress' passage of the bill in late March, considered by many to be its landmark achievement this session, a majority of voters have consistently favored its repeal, with support ranging from a low of 53% to a high of 63%.

-- Only 34% of voters think last year’s economic stimulus plan helped the economy. Sixty-one percent (61%) disagree including (39%) who believe the stimulus package hurt the economy and 22% who believe the $787-billion plan had no impact. . . . .
